Every Givli Labels pack includes:
- Your QR labels (supplied in groups of 8, where each group of 8 shares one QR code)
- 12 months — one year — of access to the private Givli found-item portal
- A free Givli account to activate and manage your labels and receive private found-item messages
Portal access is included with your labels. There is no separate subscription for the included year.
Each pack purchase includes 12 months — one year — of access to the private Givli found-item portal. This is what lets you activate and manage your labels and receive private found-item messages.
There is no separate subscription for the included year. If you buy more labels later — which many families do as kit is replaced or outgrown — your access is extended for another 12 months. Before your year is up, we'll email you with your options so nothing lapses unexpectedly.
No. There is no separate subscription and no recurring fee for the included year. When you buy a pack, 12 months of portal access is included in the price.
Buying more labels in future extends your access by a further 12 months — there is nothing else to pay for the portal on top of your labels.
After buying a pack you'll receive your QR labels (and a setup card). To activate:
1. Go to your Dashboard and click "Activate Label"
2. Enter your 8-character label code (printed below the QR on your sheet)
3. Add the name and contact details you'd like us to notify
4. Optionally add a return message (e.g. "Please message me through Givli if found")
Labels come in groups of 8 that share one code — activate each group (each code) to the same account. You never need to print your child's name or your phone number on the label.
Yes. You can activate and manage all of your labels and packs from a single Givli account.
- Activate every QR group to the same account
- See all your active labels in your Dashboard
- Use different groups (different codes) for different children or activities if you want to tell items apart
Using your labels
Givli labels work best on clean, dry, hard surfaces such as:
- Water bottles and lunch boxes
- School bags, PE bags and sports bags
- Boots, helmets and instrument or headphone cases
- Pencil cases and calculators
For coats and jumpers, stick on the sewn-in care label inside — not on outer fabric.
Please check the instruction card in your pack for the surfaces your labels are designed for before applying.
No. There is no app to download — for you or for a finder.
You manage your labels in the browser through your Givli account, and anyone who finds an item simply scans the QR code with their normal phone camera.
If your child loses an item with a Givli label:
1. Someone finds it and scans the QR code (no account or login needed)
2. They send a short message through the Givli return page
3. You receive a private notification
4. You arrange how to get the item back
Both sides stay anonymous by default — the finder doesn't see your details, and you don't see theirs unless they choose to share them.
No. Your name, phone number, email address and home address are never shown on the label or to the finder.
A finder only sees a recognisable Givli return page and any general return message you chose to add. We recommend keeping return messages general (for example "blue bottle") rather than including personal details.
If a label isn't scanning:
1. Make sure the label isn't damaged, dirty or covered
2. Try again in good lighting
3. Clean and dry the label surface
4. Use your phone's built-in camera (not a third-party scanner app)
5. If it still won't scan, contact support with the short code printed near the QR
If a label is faulty or unreadable, we'll replace it — see the customer support section below.
Your labels are linked to your account, not to a single item forever.
- If you replace an item, move a spare label onto the new item and activate it to the same account
- If an item is permanently lost, you can keep the rest of your labels active as normal
- If an item changes owner (for example hand-me-down uniform), contact support so the label can be relinked to the new adult's account
Orders & customer support
When you checkout, we ask for a UK delivery address for your label pack. Sign in and open your Dashboard to see your orders, including the pack type, quantity, price and current status.
If you need to change your delivery address before your pack has been dispatched, contact Givli support as soon as possible.
If you're buying on behalf of a club or school as an organisation admin, you can also see orders from the organisation's perspective.
First, check the order status in your Dashboard. If your labels haven't arrived within the expected delivery window, contact Givli support with your order number and we'll look into it for you.
Please don't order a replacement pack until we've had a chance to help.
Yes. If a label is damaged or won't scan, contact support and include the short code printed near the QR if you have it.
If a label is faulty or unreadable, we'll replace it free of charge.
Use the "Contact Support" button at the bottom of this page to send us a message, and we'll reply by email.
Please include your order number and, if it's about a specific label, the short code printed near the QR.
Clubs, schools & PTAs
When you buy through an organisation's Givli link, that club, school or PTA receives a 20% giveback from every qualifying pack — at no extra cost to you:
- Start Pack (£9.99) → about £2.00 to your group
- School + Sport Pack (£14.99) → about £3.00 to your group
- Family Pack (£19.99) → about £4.00 to your group
The giveback is tracked automatically and paid to the organisation. They only ever see anonymised totals — never your personal contact details.
Yes. Supporting a club, school or PTA is optional. You can buy Givli labels just for your own family without attributing your order to any organisation.
Yes. You can support multiple organisations (for example your child's school PTA and their sports club):
1. Go to Profile → My Organizations
2. Add the organisations you want to support
3. Set one as your "Primary" (used by default at checkout)
Your primary organisation is shown by default when you buy packs.
